Passionate about elevating the industry, Barry immersed his professional talents into IICRC water restoration, advanced structural drying and anti-microbial remediation. He currently serves as President of Expert Water Removal, specializing in complete property damage restoration in the Sarasota, Bradenton, and Tampa Bay metro areas.

Early on in his career, Barry dedicated over a decade to Monsanto Chemical Company in various positions of increasing responsibility including business development and senior management. During his time spent as a professional trainer for Statistical Process Control, Mr. Nicks was invited to speak at Oxford University in England for the 2001 International Furniture Manufacturer’s Technology Conference. After many professional years in the insurance property and casualty claims industry that followed, Barry continued to network and share his methods for gaining professional success. Taking part in continuing education opportunities, Mr. Nicks traveled to locations that offered the highest standards of IICRC certified water restoration including Atlanta, Indianapolis, Miami and Seattle.

Today, Expert Water Removal continues to grow, but remains an independent business. Started in 2001 and headquartered in Sarasota, FL, Barry’s fleet of equipment and professional certified technicians provide efficient, cost-effective and friendly, residential and commercial drying applications. Additional services include dehumidifying, water damage remediation and sewage removal. With several trucks, vans, drying equipment and 5 dedicated emergency service vehicles fully equipped and capable of repairing any situation, the company has expanded to offer clean-up after fire and is also equipped to address water damage and mold.
