Meet Our Team

The Expert Water Removal Team takes pride in the services that we provide and the client relationships that we build. Both management and our IICRC certified technicians average a company tenure of 4 years, and each bring with them a decade of industry experience. Professionalism is our guarantee. All staff are background approved, and pass the drug screening process. Technicians speak English and bilingual project management staff is also available upon request.

Barry – Owner, President

President and founder of Expert Water Removal, Barry is an alumni of Auburn University, and hand-selected Sarasota to be the company’s headquarters for its recreational offerings including golf and fishing. Outside of the office, Barry spends time with his wife and children, 1 boy and 2 girls. Learn more about Barry and the history of Expert Water Removal.

Santos – Vice President, Southern Division

Santos is a New York native. As a state-licensed general contractor and professional with the EWR team since 2014, he is in charge of Expert Water Removal’s Repair Division. In addition to managing each reconstruction crew, Santos works directly with insurance adjusters and property owners to identify the extent of damage and create accurate estimates. Santos is married and enjoys his two children.

Keith – Project Manager

Keith is always ready to jump into action when you have an emergency. As a project manager, he will meet with your adjuster to keep a claim moving along. He will explain the whole process to you to help you understand what will be happening in your home or business as we mitigate your damage. He started his restoration career in his hometown of Kansas City, Missouri. He spent 3 years handling property damages in southern California. He has finally found a home in South West Florida with Expert Water Removal since 2014. Keith is also our resident “Tech Geek”, utilizing the newest restoration technology to help process claims faster and more efficiently, such as the 3D Matterport camera. He is friendly, knowledgeable, and reliable. He enjoys spending time with his family & 2 Jack Russell Terriers. He is also a diehard Kansas City Chiefs fan.

Nelson – Project Manager

Nelson is married with two sons. He is originally from Zambia. Nelson has worked at Expert Water Removal since 2012. He fulfills both team leader and production manager roles. His hobbies include automotive repair and working as a mechanic troubleshooting is a distinct pleasure.

Audrey – Compliance Manager/ Office Manager

Audrey became part of Expert Water Removal in early 2021 when she was hired as the Customer Care Coordinator. She’s originally from Atlanta, Ga., and has lived in this area for about 20 years. She has worked in the construction field for about 18 years. Audrey enjoys hiking and playing tennis. One of her favorite spots to hike in this area is the Lake Lotus Park Loop trail system.
